“We’re looking forward to completing our review, but we need more information to continue. Your app uses the AppTrackingTransparency framework, but we are unable to locate the App Tracking Transparency permission request when reviewed on iOS 15.5.”
Just wondered if anyone has managed to fix this issue when submitting to the app store? My site uses Google Analytics and also AppMySite has a basic analytics.
Couldn’t find anything in the FAQ/Help section about adding this opt-in for the app, so wondered if anyone had any idea.
But to summarize, you’ll be able to find this option when you go to rebuild the app (from the Download page) on the bottom of the page you’ll see this option.
My site has a cookie consent manager and I have enabled tracking in the Appmysite dashboard, but it’s still being rejected.I don’t know what I did wrong
Play around with the settings on AppMySite and IOS I had to tick/untick a box I can’t remember what part though, also if you can limit any in-browser stuff that may be easily seen when reviewed so the app appears to be Native as possible. Hope your app gets approved soon
Hey @ZACH_Cheng, I think because tracking is in the webviews, the app itself doesn’t technically track any data. So in your Privacy policy I suggest that you disable the tracking and also from the build itself.
Additionally, I suggest that you remove the cookie consent manager from using the HTML class hider thing from the Bottom bar/Home Screen settings for the webview. I think that should get your app accepted.
We understand your concern and appreciate you sharing your experience.
To address the issue, please check if the App Tracking (cookies) permission is enabled in your iOS build. You can verify this by following these steps:
Go to your AppMySite dashboard
From the left menu, navigate to Download → iOS → Rebuild → App Permissions
Ensure that the Tracking Permission is turned OFF
If the tracking permission is already disabled, then the issue is likely due to a cookie consent banner on your website that is being displayed within the app (via WebView).
In this case, we recommend disabling the cookie prompt on your website, as Apple may reject the app due to this.

Thank you for the reply. My next question would be what would require me to use these app permission features? If apple is rejecting based on keeping these on, is there a reason why I would need these for future apps? Also, I had these turned off for google play and our app has just gotten rejected as well due to privacy policy. Do you happen to have a solution for Google Play as well? Thank you for your help.
If your app genuinely uses certain permissions (like cookies, location, etc.) and there is a valid reason for it, then it is recommended to keep those permissions enabled and clearly declare them during the app submission process.
For example, if your app needs access to a user’s location, you can:
Enable the permission in the app build
Provide a clear and justified reason for its usage
Declare the same in App Store Connect submission
When done correctly, Apple generally does not reject the app, as the usage is transparent and justified.
Regarding Google Play Store, app rejections due to privacy policy can happen for multiple reasons. To guide you accurately, we would need to review the exact rejection message provided by Google.
Please reach out to the support team directly with a screenshot of the rejection notice, and our team will assist you with the appropriate steps to resolve the issue.
