We have a client who has a meal prep service that opens her store Saturday-Wednesday and closes it on Thursday and Friday. During that time, we update the information and clear the customer sessions (saved carts and other order information) so that people cannot place an order for old items.
When I clear the sessions, on the website it will clear out the carts and any pending orders, however, on the app, it’s not clearing the cart and pending orders.
Can anyone help shed some light onto this subject or know of a solution within the app that we can clear sessions?
I understand the importance of keeping your meal prep service updated and ensuring that customers can only place orders for current items. I apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with clearing sessions on your app.
AppMySite is designed to reflect changes made on your website in real-time on your app as well. However, there might be a couple of reasons why you’re not seeing the sessions cleared on the app:
App Refresh: Sometimes, the app might need to be closed and restarted for changes to fully reflect. I recommend quitting the app completely and then reopening it to see if the sessions are cleared.
Connection Issues: It’s possible that there could be a temporary issue with the connection between your website and our platform, which is preventing the app from updating. This can happen occasionally and may require our technical team to investigate further.
To troubleshoot:
Please try closing the app completely and reopening it to see if the changes appear.
If the issue persists, please let us know by raising a ticket at - https://app.appmysite.com/email-support/ so we can look into the connection between your website and the app. You can provide us with more details or screenshots to help us understand the situation better.
We’re here to assist you in resolving this issue and ensuring that your app reflects the most up-to-date information for your customers. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your patience as we work to address it.
