Rebuild apps error

Hello everyone, I have rebuilt apps dozens of times but always fail, and it only fails when “Plain Notifications” is enabled, but when it’s not enabled, the build is successful.

As I understand it, do we only need one Certificate?

I’ve tried 3 methods, but all failed: Notification Build Settings > Notification Provisioning Profile

  1. Identifiers x 2 + Profile x2
  • Bundle id: Bundle Profile
  • Notification Bundle ID: Notification Profile

I went to developer.apple > Identifiers > created a new one specifically for “Notification Bundle ID” > selected Push Notifications & Sign in with Apple > generated > created new Profile > App Store Connect selected Notification Bundle ID > generated > Downloaded .mobileprovision > uploaded to Appmysite > failed

  1. Identifiers x 1 + Profile x2
  • Bundle id: Bundle Profile
  • Bundle id: Notification Profile

Created new Profile > App Store Connect selected “main app Bundle ID” > generated > Downloaded .mobileprovision > uploaded to Appmysite > failed

  1. Identifiers x 1 + Profile x1
  • Bundle id: Bundle Profile

I directly used the Appmysite interface > iOS Build Configuration > uploaded the Provisioning profile file here to Notification Provisioning Profile, also failed

*** The files needed for Google Firebase configuration and Google Firebase Service Account are downloaded directly from Firebase

So I don’t know where the problem is, because the error message is always

It seems your app build has encountered an issue. Details entered are either incorrect or invalid.

I hope someone can answer my question, thank you

Please try to build your apps again, and let us know if you encounter any further issues. We’re here to help!

I actually went through and followed all the same steps today… thinking it was me…

Same issue.

I got a similar problem here. The app was built successfully when turn off the ios notification. But when turn it on, I fail every time. Try to create a new Provision Profile many times still unsuccessful. My last tried is using the Provision Profile created from the api, and still fail.

It seems your app build has encountered an issue.
The certificate used to generate the uploaded Notification Provisioning Profile does not match the uploaded Certificate. #####

Any on get a successful enable this, please help. Cheers.

I got email from support saying that when creating the Provision Profile, I should choose the Notification Bundle ID instead of Bundle ID, but I couldn’t see Notification Bundle ID when selecting. Did I miss any steps?

Hi @Joe

The notification bundle id can be found in the notification settings / configuration section when you expand either the Android or the iOS menu and you will see the notification bundle id on the right.

You can alternatively reply to the ticket as well for further assistance.

Thank you. Will give it a try one more time.

Same here. I made step by step how the Knowledge base says and didn’t work.

Hi @tatandominguez

We apologize for the inconvenience. In case if you still have issues in building apps, we request you to please raise a support ticket via the link - https://app.appmysite.com/email-support/

We look forward to helping you.

I’ve found the notification bundle ID, but I can’t change the ID in firebase…what do you recommend?

Hi @milkrow

We recommend you to please log a ticket via the link - https://app.appmysite.com/email-support/ and our Support Team will be glad to assist you in resolving your issue.

How would anyone get email support if you don’t provide email support unless I upgrade? It would be more helpful to the user community if you would respond here, where everyone can benefit from the guidance you provide. Otherwise, it’s rather frustrating.

I was finally able to get your ticket submission form to work. Let’s see what happens next…

Hi @milkrow

Thank you for your co-operation.

The Support Team will respond to you shortly.

I got it finally. And this is for the future if anyone is having an issue with it.

You must create a new identifier with the Notification bundle ID and not the App bundle ID.

Create a new profile, and select the new identifier that has the notification bundle ID.

Download this new provisioning profile.

In the notifications settings (In app my site) upload this new profile there and save.

Now go to build and should work.

NOTE, both profiles must use the same certificate.

Hope this saves someone a headache.
